Prices for oils suitable for transport fuel, plastics manufacture and human nutrition are at historically high levels and there is a solid demand for nutritious animal feed (encompassing beef and dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and fish).

The world is shifting to industrial processes that, where possible, reduce rather than increase emissions of atmospheric CO2.

MBD Energy Limited offers a cost-effective large-scale industrial CO2 abatement solutions. System installations are suited to be retrofitted to a broad range of established stationary emitters including power stations, refineries, smelters and coal and gas mining operations.

Instead of being a costly waste to be injected at great expense deep underground (CCS) CO2 becomes an essential feedstock to produce a range of high-value products.

MBD has commenced CO2 abatement projects with each of 3 of Australia’s largest coal fired power stations.

A hallmark of MBD Energy’s proprietary CO2 to Energy technology is that it provides a new, lower cost and more sustainable source of oil, dry fuel and nutrition.

Direct capture Algal Synthesis significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions by recycling waste CO2, SO2 and NOx to create biofuels and nutrition that would otherwise be sourced from more carbon intensive sources such as crude oil and other fossil fuels.

As a source of low-cost nutrition, Algal Synthesisers can help avoid land clearing and take pressure off farmlands. Used as feed, algal meal results in lower methane emissions from ruminant animals than from livestock grazing on grasses alone.

We are a low-cost and high-yield producer because our proprietary ‘BAGS System’ plastic membranes are highly efficient, modular and can easily be replicated to achieve scale with relatively low CAPEX.

Severe droughts regularly place strain on fresh water supplies. MBD’s algal synthesis process can make effectively recycle nutrient-rich and heavy metals contaminated waste water, cleaning it for re-use. Industrial-scale water purification has strong commercial value.
