MBDs CO2 to Energy Process

MBDs CO<span style='font-size: 0.7em'>2</span> to Energy Process

In simple terms, algae (both micro and macro) more efficiently consume CO2 than any other sequestration source. Faced with tightening emissions controls, government impost of a price on carbon and broad-based political support for improved emissions CO2 outcomes, stationary industrial emitters such as power stations, refineries and smelters are now actively searching for sustainable means by which they can cut their emissions.

The U.K. for example, recently announced it will attempt to cut its total CO2 emissions by 50% by 2025.

MBD plans to use the key ingredients of captured waste flue gases (including CO2), sunlight, nutrient-enriched surplus wastewater, and available space within an emitter’s perimeter buffer-land enclosure, to deploy an appropriate algal synthesiser solution built using the Company’s well-credentialed technologies and knowhow.

In-effect, MBD will be using waste products on typically non-arable land (waste land) to generate numerous high value products including algal oil, algal meal and associated derivative products (as depicted in the diagram above).

While providing emissions reduction and water bio-remediation services to emitters, for MBD, the real value is in its production of algae biomass suitable for the production of oil and solids based products.

The Company intends to deploy its systems and solutions across a wide range of industries including power generation, refineries, cement, gas producers and processors, mining and others.
