The Full scale Project

MBD Energy Limited and Eraring Energy will make an announcement in coming months regarding the scale and design of the envisioned large-scale CO2 to Energy Algal Synthesiser planned for Eraring Power Station.

It is anticipated that the large-scale CO2 to Energy Algal Synthesiser being developed for Eraring will have sufficient capacity to approximately halve current levels of CO2 emissions (and other greenhouse gas emissions) from the power station.

As with installations at other coal-fired power stations, it is expected that construction of the large-scale facility will commence with one or two smaller facilities aimed at validating the best available design calculations and assumptions and providing opportunity for any necessary modifications before work commences on full-scale construction.

A detailed plan will become available at the conclusion of current project design and development.
