MBD Energy Limited has drawn together an exceptionally strong team with a proven capacity to deliver across specialist fields of scientific research and development, engineering and project management and the leadership of major industrial companies and enterprises. The company has also invested in establishing a world-leading centre of excellence around its R&D facility and a rigorous Graduate Vocational Training Program.
Led by former BHP Chairman, Jerry Ellis, the MBD Board embodies a great deal of relevant industry expertise, and includes Seamus French, CEO of Anglo American Coal - a subsidiary of the diversified international mining company, Anglo American.
MBD’s Research and Development teams based at James Cook University, are leaders in Australia, and are at the forefront internationally, in the production of algal biomass for CO2 sequestration and large-scale production of algae-based oil and feedstock commodities.
