CO2 to energy projects at three of Australia’s largest power stations

MBD has agreements with three of Australia’s major power stations, one in each of the eastern states comprising a formal and binding Joint Development Agreement with Tarong Energy to deploy the Company’s first 1 Hectare Plant at the Tarong Power Station (1,400 MW) in Queensland and a detailed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with both the Loy Yang Power Station (2,200 MW) in Victoria and the Eraring Power Station (2,640 MW) in New South Wales.

Civil and services supply works at the Tarong Project have been largely completed with the remaining three phases of the project being progressively deployed and commissioned over the course of 2011.

In addition, MBD plans to build and commission its first Macro-algae Food Project at Ayr, in Queensland by 4th fourth quarter 2011. Importantly, this project will establish a growing income stream for MBD.

The Company has also built a world class 5,000 m2 Micro-algae R&D and Pilot Plant Facility located at James Cook University (JCU) in Townsville, Queensland.
